The Lloret Convention Bureau presents its conference calendar.
Lloret de Mar has firmly established itself within the group of cities that annually organise conferences, cementing its reputation in the MICE segment. To date, several conferences have already been confirmed, while the specialised private sector has succeeded in bringing conventions, meetings and workshops to the destination. (read more) |

The city councils of Selva Marítima, namely Lloret, Blanes and Tossa,have taken a step forward by signing a joint agreement to request their inclusion in the plan of the Directorate General for Tourism for the comprehensive reconversion of mature tourism destinations, an initiative of the Secretariat General for Tourism of the Spanish government. Promotion of Lloret's cuisine: Cuina de l'Art gastronomy days.
The Rice Gastronomy Days are held in Lloret de Mar from 1st to 31st May. In this, its eleventh year, the event has been given a new twist: all the rice dishes are prepared using a gastronomic legacy that is deeply rooted in the city, namely Lloret's arròs de l'art. (read more)

3.2010 accommodation statistics |

The main results of the 2010 accommodation statistics show a 5.9% increase in the number of tourists and a 4.5% increase in the number of overnight stays in respect of 2010.
In total there were 1,039,544 visitors and 5,381 overnight stays. As for nationalities, 27% of visitors were Spanish while the remaining 73% were foreign.
The main countries of origin were as follows: France (23.1%), Germany (8.7%), Belgium (7.8%), Italy (5.6%), the UK (4.9%), Russia and the former Soviet republics (4.7%) and Scandinavian countries (1%).
The average length of stay was 5.8 nights and the annual average hotel occupancy rate was 75.2%. |
